We get asked this a lot.

Around the time I was toying with the idea of turning my bladesmithing hobby into a business, my Marine buddy suddenly passed away. What he left behind was a legacy of love of God, family, and country. He was a motivator and encourager, and he challenged me to be a better man, husband, and dad. His motto was Live Every Day Like Your Last, and that is what he unknowingly taught me to do better. I never want to take life or relationships for granted. With blessings from his wife, I named my business in his memory as a daily reminder to live life with no regrets.

Semper Fi SSgt Nathan McMillan. You inspired many.

Knives

LEDLYL Knives are created to be functional. We rarely create knives simply for display. That doesn’t mean a functional knife can’t be easy on the eyes. The goal with each blade is comfort, durability, style, and ease of use.

Custom Tomahawks

There’s something primitive and raw about a tomahawk. Besides a knife, we think it’s the next best tool to have if you’re stranded on a deserted island. We forge tomahawks from 5160 or you can send us an heirloom ballpeen hammer head for us to transform into a special gift with an engraving.

Hand-forged Grill Tools

These aren’t your average grill tools. These upcycled railroad ties are hand-forged into sturdy works of art worthy of flipping and lifting the best cuts of meat.

“A knife is a tool, anyone who treats it differently is a fool.”

— Jonathan Caruso, ABS Journeyman Smith and owner of LEDLYL Knives
